Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated night time excavator operator to join our Solids Control team. As the night time excavator operator, it will be your job to manage, treat & mix oilfield waste coming into and departing our facility. Your main responsibility will be in the excavator mixing and loading the waste into dump trucks for disposal at a local landfill. You will also be responsible for supervising your team to ensure all tasks are completed safely and efficiently. Your excavator expertise will provide the base skills we need for efficient waste management/ waste turnaround coming into and out of the facility. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic growing environment where safety, skill, and teamwork are paramount. Oil & Gas Site experience is preferred but not required for the right candidate. Responsibilities Operate excavator, loaders, and other heavy equipment safely and efficiently during night shifts. De-water & utilize excavator to down blend (mix) TENORM affected waste from the Oil & Gas Industry for disposal. Perform routine maintenance and inspections on machinery to ensure optimal performance and safety compliance. Conduct Morning Safety Meetings, JSA's and ensure all equipment is inspected. Execute down blending of TENORM Material & ensure acceptance criteria for landfill is met. Communicate with Scale House and Lab to Coordinate Waste Disposal. Adhere strictly to federal safety regulations and equipment safety procedures at all times. Multi-Task as the excavator operator and supervisor your team on the ground. Qualifications Proven experience operating heavy construction machinery such as excavators, front end loaders, skid steers and water trucks in a general industry environment. Oil & Gas site experience on drilling rig backyards, drill outs is a big plus. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to perform basic equipment maintenance and troubleshooting. Valid commercial driver's license with experience in commercial truck driving preferred. Knowledge of federal construction safety regulations and safety procedures related to heavy equipment operation. Ability to both supervise and operate excavator at the same time.
