Duties Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, caulking, and applying primer to ensure optimal paint adhesion. Apply paint, stains, and finishes using hand tools, power tools, airless spray equipment, and other application techniques across various surfaces. Read blueprints and schematics to accurately execute painting plans for both interior and exterior projects. Perform specialized tasks such as plastering, stucco application, masonry work, and drywall restoration to enhance surface durability and appearance. Install fixtures, trim carpentry elements, and perform renovation tasks including framing and remodeling to support project completion. Conduct quality inspections throughout the process to ensure smooth finishes and adherence to safety standards on construction sites. Maintain a clean work environment by properly handling waste materials and storing tools like scaffolding, scaffolding equipment, hand tools, and power tools. Requirements Proven experience in residential painting, commercial painting, or construction painting with a strong understanding of color theory. Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, airless paint spraying equipment, and other relevant construction tools. Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings accurately. Knowledge of plastering, caulking, trim carpentry, stucco application, masonry techniques, and concrete finishing. Familiarity with industrial painting processes including welding or fixture installation is a plus. Strong background in construction site experience with an understanding of safety protocols and schematics. Basic math skills for measurements and calculations essential for precise work. Additional handyman experience or skills in restoration, renovation projects, or maintenance work are highly valued. Physical ability to stand for long periods; comfortable working at heights or in confined spaces; capable of lifting heavy materials when necessary.
