Overview Join our dynamic construction team as a Painter Helper and be an essential part of transforming spaces! In this energetic role, you will assist experienced painters in preparing surfaces, handling tools, and applying coatings to residential and commercial properties. This position offers a fantastic opportunity to develop your skills in construction painting, surface preparation, and renovation projects while working in a fast-paced environment that values safety, teamwork, and craftsmanship. Whether you're just starting out or have some construction site experience, this role is perfect for motivated individuals eager to learn and grow in the painting industry. Duties Assist with surface preparation including cleaning, sanding, caulking, drywall installation, and plastering to ensure optimal paint adhesion. Support the application of paint using brushes, rollers, spray guns (including conventional and construction spray painting), and paint sprayers. Help with the setup and breakdown of painting equipment such as ladders, scaffolding, power tools, and hand tools. Follow safety regulations diligently by wearing respiratory protection and adhering to safety protocols during all tasks. Interpret technical drawings and blueprints to understand project specifications for both residential and commercial painting jobs. Prepare surfaces by sanding, patching holes, applying primer, and ensuring surfaces are ready for coating or finishing. Assist with fixture installation, drywall finishing, caulking, and minor handyman tasks related to renovation or remodeling projects. Qualifications Basic knowledge of construction estimating, blueprint reading, and interpreting technical drawings is a plus. Familiarity with construction site safety regulations including proper use of respiratory protection. Experience with hand tools, power tools, paint sprayers (including conventional spraying), brushes, rollers, and scaffolding is highly desirable. Ability to work at heights using ladders safely and efficiently. Strong attention to detail with an eye for visual color comparison and quality standards in surface finishing. Good communication skills with the ability to follow instructions accurately. Prior experience in construction painting surface preparation or renovation projects is preferred but not required; training will be provided for motivated learners. Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to coating coverage and surface dimensions. Pay:
$23.00 - $26.00 per hour
