Full Job Description Job Overview:

Maryland Interiors LLC is seeking a skilled and reliable Drywall Taper/Painter to join our team in San Jose, CA. This role involves a combination of drywall finishing and painting tasks across residential and commercial projects. The ideal candidate has strong attention to detail, takes pride in quality workmanship, and can work independently or as part of a crew.

Schedule:

5 days per week 8 hours per day

Key Responsibilities:

Perform drywall patching and repairs, including small to large surface areas Tape and finish drywall seams to a smooth, paint-ready surface Apply skim coats as needed to achieve level 4-5 finishes Sand and prep surfaces for painting Complete touch-up painting and punch list items efficiently Match textures and finishes to existing surfaces when required Maintain clean and organized job sites Follow safety guidelines and company standards on all projects

Qualifications:

Proven experience in drywall taping, finishing, and painting Ability to produce high-quality finishes with minimal supervision Familiarity with hand and power tools related to drywall and painting Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship Reliable transportation to job sites in the San Jose area Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work on ladders or scaffolding as needed Preferred (but not required): Experience with spray equipment Ability to match textures (orange peel, knockdown, smooth finish) Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus
