Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Painter to join our dynamic construction and renovation team. In this role, you will be responsible for applying paint, coatings, and finishes to a variety of surfaces, ensuring high-quality results that enhance the appearance and durability of residential, commercial, and structural projects. Responsibilities Prepare surfaces through cleaning, sanding, caulking, drywall repair, and surface priming to ensure optimal paint adhesion and finish quality Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and color schemes to execute painting projects accurately according to specifications Apply paint using brushes, rollers, spray guns (including conventional and construction spray painting), and power tools with precision and efficiency Perform structural painting tasks on various surfaces such as walls, ceilings, fixtures, and other architectural elements Conduct surface preparation for construction painting including sanding, patching holes, and applying primers or coatings as needed Use ladders safely for elevated work while following all safety regulations and respiratory protection protocols Assist with remodeling projects by installing fixtures or performing handyman tasks related to painting and surface finishing Maintain a clean work environment by properly handling tools such as hand tools, paint sprayers, and power tools while adhering to safety standards Skills Extensive knowledge of construction estimating related to painting projects and material usage Strong understanding of color theory for selecting appropriate shades and finishes that meet client expectations Proven experience in residential painting, commercial painting, and renovation projects Skilled in the use of hand tools, paint sprayers (including conventional spraying), roller painting, brush painting, and power tools Ability to interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and construction plans accurately Familiarity with construction site safety regulations including respiratory protection and proper handling of hazardous materials Experience with surface preparation techniques such as drywall repair, plastering, caulking, and fixture installation Basic math skills for measuring surfaces and calculating paint quantities efficiently Knowledge of coating types suitable for different environments and surfaces to ensure long-lasting finishes Hands-on experience with drywall installation or repair is a plus for comprehensive project support Strong attention to detail with an eye for visual color comparison to achieve seamless finishes Construction site experience with the ability to work independently or as part of a team in fast-paced environments Join our team if you're passionate about transforming spaces through expert painting techniques!
