Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Sandblaster/Painter to join our construction and renovation team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing surfaces through sandblasting and applying high-quality paint coatings to a variety of structures, including residential, commercial, and industrial projects. Your expertise will ensure that surfaces are properly prepared, painted with precision, and finished to meet safety standards and client specifications. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical skills, a keen eye for detail, and a commitment to safety and quality workmanship. Responsibilities Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, and sandblasting to ensure optimal adhesion of paint or coatings Apply primer, paint, or coatings using brushes, rollers, spray guns, or conventional spray equipment Interpret technical drawings and blueprints to determine surface areas requiring painting or coating Conduct surface preparation tasks such as drywall finishing, caulking, plastering, and fixture installation as needed Follow safety regulations by utilizing respiratory protection, proper ladder use, and adhering to safety protocols on construction sites Perform touch-ups and detailed painting work on structural elements, fixtures, and renovation projects Maintain cleanliness of work area and properly handle hand tools, power tools, and spray equipment Assist in estimating project scope related to surface preparation and painting requirements Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines while ensuring high-quality standards Conduct visual color comparisons to match paint colors accurately in residential or commercial settings Skills Extensive experience with construction site painting including surface preparation and coating application Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, paint sprayers (including conventional spraying), brushes, and rollers Strong knowledge of construction estimating related to painting projects Ability to interpret technical drawings and blueprints accurately Familiarity with construction painting surface preparation techniques such as drywall finishing and caulking Knowledge of color theory for effective color matching in various environments Experience with residential painting, commercial painting, structural painting, and renovation projects Understanding of safety regulations including respiratory protection and safety protocol adherence Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to coating coverage Ability to use ladders safely for elevated work areas Experience with plastering, drywall installation/repair, fixture installation, remodeling, maintenance tasks Good communication skills for coordinating with team members and clients Prior construction estimating experience is a plus but not mandatory Join our team if you are passionate about delivering durable finishes through expert surface preparation and painting techniques.
