Job Description
GOOD HUMANS WANTED
: an experienced painter who wants a career, not just a job. We're Michael Hines Painting- 14+ years painting high-end residential interiors and exteriors across Amador County, Lodi, Elk Grove, Sacramento, and Folsom.
THE OFFER, IN PLAIN NUMBERS
- $20•29/hour, set by our Skill-Tree•a written list of exactly which skills earn which raises.
- Skilled painters typically reach $24+/hr within their first 30 days.
- 32-38 hours/week, Monday-Friday, is our floor
- with optional overtime at time-and-a-half during exterior season (about 6 months of the year).
- Weekly direct deposit. W-2 employee on our payroll
- we don't do 1099 games.
- PTO accrual, paid training, and all tools supplied
- plus company shirts and work pants.
YOUR DAY
- Start at the job site
- no shop meet-up, so you're home for dinner. No nights, ever.
- Prep like a pro: masking, sanding, filling, caulking, spotless clean-ups.
- Brush, roll, and spray interiors and exteriors to a standard that keeps our callback rate under 1%.
- Work safely on A-frames and extension ladders up to 32 ft; run airless sprayers.
- If you've got the chops: take ownership of cabinet refinishing projects or mentor newer painters.
WHAT YOU BRING
- 2+ years of residential painting (roughly 50+ homes).
- Valid CA driver's license and a reliable vehicle
- our shop zip is 95685, but you'll head to 95666 about 80 days a year.
- The strength to handle a 24-ft ladder and the patience for full-sun exterior days.
- A neat, professional appearance and easy communication with homeowners.
- Zero drama.
