In this role, you will be responsible for applying paint, stains, and coatings to a variety of surfaces in residential, commercial, and industrial settings. Duties Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, plastering, and repairing as needed to ensure optimal paint adhesion. Apply paints, stains, primers, and coatings using hand tools such as brushes, rollers, and spray equipment like airless paint sprayers. Perform surface preparation tasks such as caulking, trimming, and fixture installation to ensure a flawless finish. Utilize power tools and hand tools efficiently for tasks like framing, carpentry, or drywall finishing related to painting projects. Maintain safety standards on construction sites by adhering to protocols involving scaffolding, and proper handling of materials. Skills Extensive experience with residential and commercial painting projects across diverse environments. Strong knowledge of construction estimating processes and cost-effective material usage. Skilled in using hand tools such as caulking guns, putty knives, trowels, and brushes; familiar with power tools including sanders and sprayers. Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to project scope and materials. Knowledge of construction site safety procedures along with handyman experience for minor repairs or maintenance tasks. Familiarity with industrial painting techniques and the use of airless spray systems for large-scale projects.
