Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Residential Painter to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for transforming residential spaces through expert painting techniques, ensuring high-quality finishes that enhance the beauty and value of homes. Your expertise in various painting methods, surface preparation, and renovation projects will contribute to creating inviting, well-maintained living environments. Responsibilities Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, scraping, and applying primer to ensure optimal paint adhesion and finish quality Apply paint, stain, varnish, and other finishes using brushes, rollers, spray equipment such as airless paint sprayers, and hand tools Perform detailed trim carpentry, caulking, plastering, and stucco work to achieve smooth and professional results Read blueprints and schematics to accurately interpret project specifications and color schemes based on color theory principles Conduct renovation and restoration tasks on existing structures, including masonry, drywall repairs, and fixture installation Use construction estimating skills to assess project scope, materials needed, and time requirements for each job Maintain a safe work environment by adhering to all safety protocols on construction sites and handling power tools responsibly Requirements Proven experience in residential painting with knowledge of commercial painting practices preferred Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, scaffolding, and industrial painting equipment such as airless sprayers Strong understanding of construction estimating, blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and basic math skills for measurements and calculations Familiarity with construction site experience including renovation projects, framing carpentry, drywall finishing, and maintenance tasks Knowledge of construction estimating processes related to materials and labor costs for painting projects Ability to perform plastering, caulking, trim carpentry, stucco application, masonry work, and concrete finishing as needed Excellent hand-eye coordination with handyman experience across multiple trades such as fixture installation or welding is a plus Valid driver's license with reliable transportation; ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions Join us as a Residential Painter if you're passionate about craftsmanship and eager to contribute your skills toward creating beautiful homes.
