This energetic position offers the opportunity to learn valuable construction and painting skills while contributing to high-quality finishes. As a Painter Helper, you'll assist with surface preparation, material handling, and basic painting tasks, gaining hands-on experience in a fast-paced construction environment. This paid position is perfect for motivated individuals eager to develop a versatile skill set and grow within the construction industry. Duties Assist lead painters with surface preparation including sanding, scraping, and cleaning surfaces Mix paints and primers according to specifications, ensuring proper consistency and color matching based on color theory principles Handle hand tools such as brushes, rollers, scrapers, and putty knives safely and efficiently Support with the setup and cleanup of job sites, including staging materials and disposing of debris Learn to operate power tools and airless paint sprayers under supervision for residential and commercial projects Help with minor carpentry tasks like trim carpentry, fixture installation, and caulking to ensure smooth surface finishes Read blueprints or schematics to understand project scope and specific instructions for renovation or restoration work Requirements Basic knowledge of construction estimating, schematics, and blueprint reading is preferred but not required; willingness to learn is essential Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and airless paint spraying techniques is a plus Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting materials, standing for extended periods, and working at heights if needed Strong attention to detail with an understanding of color theory for accurate paint application Good communication skills and the ability to follow instructions clearly Prior handyman experience or related construction experience is advantageous but not mandatory Embark on a rewarding career journey where your enthusiasm meets opportunity!
