Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a skilled and experienced Lead Painter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in both residential and commercial painting, with expertise in various painting techniques and materials. As a Lead Painter, you will be responsible for overseeing painting projects from start to finish, ensuring high-quality workmanship while managing a team of painters. Your knowledge of construction practices, color theory, and blueprint reading will be essential in executing projects efficiently and effectively. Responsibilities Oversee and coordinate painting projects, ensuring adherence to timelines and quality standards Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and applying primers as necessary Apply paint using various techniques including airless paint spraying, brush, and roller methods Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to determine project requirements Estimate materials needed for projects and manage inventory accordingly Train and mentor junior painters on best practices in painting techniques and safety protocols Perform maintenance tasks such as caulking, plastering, and minor carpentry work as needed Ensure compliance with safety regulations on construction sites Collaborate with other tradespeople to complete renovation or remodeling projects Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition Qualifications Proven experience in residential and commercial painting Strong knowledge of color theory and construction estimating Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and airless paint spraying equipment Familiarity with plastering, stucco application, concrete finishing, masonry work, and trim carpentry is preferred Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings Basic math skills for accurate measurements and calculations Previous experience on construction sites is highly desirable Strong attention to detail with a commitment to delivering high-quality work Excellent communication skills to effectively lead a team of painters A valid driver's license may be required for transportation to job sites Join our team as a Lead Painter where your skills will contribute to creating beautiful spaces while leading a dedicated team of professionals.
