Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a skilled Painter to join our team, responsible for executing high-quality painting projects in both residential and commercial settings. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of color theory, construction techniques, and the ability to read blueprints and schematics. This role requires attention to detail, a commitment to safety, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. Duties Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and applying primers as necessary Apply paint, varnish, and other finishes using brushes, rollers, and airless paint spraying equipment Perform plastering, caulking, and stucco work as needed to ensure smooth finishes Execute restoration and renovation projects with precision and skill Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to understand project requirements Collaborate with construction teams on various projects ensuring adherence to timelines and quality standards Utilize hand tools and power tools safely and effectively for various tasks including fixture installation and trim carpentry Maintain a clean work environment by following safety protocols and disposing of materials properly Skills Proficiency in residential painting techniques as well as commercial painting applications Strong knowledge of construction estimating and basic math skills for project planning Experience with construction site operations and safety practices Familiarity with masonry, concrete finishing, welding, and maintenance person tasks is advantageous Ability to execute frame carpentry tasks alongside painting duties Excellent attention to detail with a focus on quality craftsmanship Strong communication skills to coordinate effectively with team members and clients This position offers an exciting opportunity for individuals passionate about the art of painting within the construction industry.
