Industrial Painter Job Description This role involves performing high-quality industrial and commercial painting using spray equipment on a wide range of surfaces. You will prepare surfaces, apply various coatings, and ensure all work meets safety and quality standards while working in a construction and industrial environment. Responsibilities Prepare a wide range of surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and priming as necessary to ensure proper adhesion and a high-quality finish. Apply paint, varnishes, and other coatings using spray equipment, including airless sprayers and HVLP sprayers, in industrial and commercial settings. Operate and maintain spray guns, paint sprayers, and related equipment safely and efficiently. Mix and match coatings as required to achieve the desired color, texture, and finish. Inspect surfaces and finished work to ensure coatings meet quality, durability, and appearance standards. Follow all safety protocols and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times while working. Work effectively in construction and industrial environments, including both indoor and outdoor locations. Maintain a clean and organized work area, including proper storage and handling of paints, coatings, and equipment. Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet project timelines and production goals. Essential Skills Proven experience in industrial painting, including preparation and application of coatings. Hands-on experience with spray painting equipment such as airless sprayers and HVLP sprayers. Strong skills in paint preparation, including cleaning, sanding, and priming surfaces. Experience in commercial painting environments. Ability to use and maintain spray guns and paint sprayers safely and effectively. Knowledge of coatings and their appropriate use in industrial and commercial applications. Commitment to following safety protocols and wearing PPE at all times. Ability to work in construction and industrial settings, including exposure to outdoor elements. Strong attention to detail and ability to produce consistent, high-quality finishes. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience with industrial coatings and finishes. experience in construction or industrial environments. Ability to read and follow work instructions and job specifications. Capability to work independently as well as part of a team. Strong work ethic and reliability in meeting schedules and deadlines. Work Environment This position follows a Monday to Friday schedule, typically from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. You will work in industrial and construction settings that may include both indoor and outdoor locations. The role requires comfort working in the elements, including varying weather conditions. You will use industrial painting tools and equipment such as spray guns, airless sprayers, and HVLP sprayers, and you will wear appropriate PPE in accordance with safety standards. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of West Palm Beach, FL. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr.
