RESPONSIBILITIES
Performs industrial/commercial type painting, refinishing and spraying to structures, furnishings, surfaces, equipment and roads. Prepares walls, woodwork and other surfaces by stripping, patching, caulking, sanding, cleaning, or bleaching for finishing. Moves and protects furnishings and floor coverings prior to painting area. Posts wet paint signs where needed. Strips surfaces of old finishes with chemical strippers; refinishes and protects furniture. Stains and paints finish on cabinets, bookcases, and shelves by spraying, brushing, or using a cloth to achieve desired color and tone. Paints structures and surfaces by applying coatings with brush, roller and/or spray in a uniform manner.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
A high school diploma or equivalent. Three years of commercial painting experience. Valid Georgia driver's license and insurable driving record. Some positions in this classification may require the ability to lift 50 pounds and to bend, stoop, and twist.
