Job Description

Overview We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Painter to join our dynamic construction and renovation team. In this role, you will be responsible for applying paint, coatings, and finishes to a variety of surfaces, ensuring high-quality results that meet project specifications. The ideal candidate will bring a passion for craftsmanship, a keen eye for color and detail, and a commitment to safety standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to residential, commercial, and industrial projects while honing your skills in diverse painting techniques. Duties Prepare surfaces through sanding, scraping, cleaning, and surface repairs such as plastering, drywall installation, and caulking to ensure optimal paint adhesion. Interpret technical drawings and specifications to determine appropriate painting methods and materials for each project. Apply paint using various techniques including brush painting, roller painting, spray painting (conventional and airless), and coating application on different surfaces such as walls, ceilings, stucco, masonry, and structural elements. Use hand tools and power tools safely to complete surface preparation and finishing tasks efficiently. Manage the use of ladders and scaffolding safely while performing high or hard-to-reach work. Conduct surface inspections using visual color comparison tools to ensure color accuracy and consistency across projects. Follow all safety regulations by wearing respiratory protection and adhering to safety protocols during all phases of work. Assist with remodeling, renovation, restoration projects, and fixture installation as needed to support overall project goals. Qualifications Proven experience in construction painting with a strong understanding of surface preparation techniques. Knowledge of construction estimating processes related to painting projects is preferred. Familiarity with residential, commercial, and industrial painting applications including coating systems and industrial finishing. Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications accurately. Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, paint sprayers (including airless spray), brushes, rollers, and other application equipment. Experience with construction site safety regulations including respiratory protection use and safety protocol adherence. Basic math skills for measuring surfaces and calculating paint quantities. Knowledge of color theory for effective color matching and visual consistency. Experience with carpentry tasks such as trim carpentry, framing, drywall finishing, stucco application, masonry work, caulking, plastering, concrete finishing, fixture installation, framing carpentry or handyman work is a plus. Strong attention to detail with excellent manual dexterity; ability to work at heights using ladders or scaffolding safely. Valid construction site experience with a focus on quality workmanship in renovation or remodeling environments is highly desirable. Join us in delivering exceptional craftsmanship on every project!
