Job Description

Job Overview Join our dynamic team as an Apprentice Painter and kickstart your career in the construction and painting industry! This paid apprenticeship offers a hands-on learning experience, where you'll develop essential skills in surface preparation, painting techniques, and various finishing trades. Under the guidance of experienced professionals, you'll gain practical knowledge in a variety of construction environments, helping to transform spaces with precision and craftsmanship. This role is perfect for motivated individuals eager to learn, grow, and build a solid foundation in the trades. Responsibilities Assist with surface preparation including sanding, scraping, and cleaning surfaces to ensure optimal paint adhesion. Learn to apply primers, paints, stains, and sealants using hand tools and power tools under supervision. Support the installation of protective coatings on walls, ceilings, floors, and other surfaces across residential and commercial projects. Participate in the setup and cleanup of work sites to maintain safety and efficiency standards. Gain exposure to blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and construction management practices on-site. Assist with minor carpentry tasks such as trim carpentry, door hanging, or framing as part of broader renovation projects. Help with material handling including mixing paints, preparing surfaces, and organizing tools and supplies. Skills Basic understanding of construction site safety protocols and procedures. Familiarity with hand tools such as brushes, rollers, scrapers, and trowels; experience with power tools is a plus. Knowledge of construction materials including plastering compounds, stucco finishes, concrete forms, or masonry is advantageous. Ability to read blueprints or schematics to understand project specifications. Experience or interest in related trades such as plumbing, electrical work, roofing, or flooring installation enhances versatility. Strong attention to detail with a willingness to learn new techniques like caulking, glazing glass installation, or tile laying. Excellent teamwork skills combined with a proactive attitude toward safety and quality standards. This paid apprenticeship is designed to empower aspiring painters by providing valuable industry experience while fostering skills that open doors to future opportunities in construction trades. Pay:
$18.00 - $23.56 per hour
