Lead Residential Painter GLS Painting•

Des Moines, IA & Surrounding Areas Pay:

$25.00•$30.00 / hour (Based on experience)

Job Type:

Full-time GLS Painting is looking for a top-tier Lead Painter to head our residential exterior and interior projects across the Des Moines metro. We hold our work to the highest standard, and we need a seasoned craftsman who takes serious pride in running a tight, efficient, and high-quality job site.

Key Responsibilities Site Leadership:

Run 2-3 person crews daily, manage job pacing, and ensure deadlines are met without sacrificing quality.

Technical Execution:

operation of airless spray equipment, precision brushwork, and thorough prep (rot repair, scraping, caulking, and complete masking).

Client Communication:

Serve as the professional, on-site face of GLS Painting for homeowner walk-throughs and daily updates.

Mandatory Requirements Experience:

Minimum 5 years of professional residential painting experience.

No Fear of Heights:

100% comfortable working off 28•32'+ extension ladders, roof pitches, and staging.

Physical Capability:

Must be able to consistently lift, carry, and maneuver 80+ lbs (heavy extension ladders, 5-gallon paint buckets, equipment).

Reliability:

Valid driver's license, a clean driving record, and dependable personal transportation.
