Job Summary I'm looking for motivated exterior painters to join my small painting crew in the Iowa Great Lakes area (Okoboji, Spirit Lake, Milford, Spencer, Lakepark) this summer. You'll help prep and paint residential homes, use basic power tools like sanders, and apply caulk and simple stucco finishes while working outdoors as part of a tight-knit team. Pay ranges from $17-$20 per hour depending on experience and performance. Responsibilities Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, scraping, caulking, minor patching, and applying primer to ensure optimal paint adhesion. Operate basic power tools safely, such as electric sanders, as trained. Apply paints, stains, varnishes, and other finishes using hand tools such as brushes, rollers, and spray equipment such as airless paint sprayers, as trained. Set up and work safely on ladders to reach higher areas. Maintain a clean, organized job site, including daily setup and cleanup. Follow safety guidelines and instructions from the crew leader to protect yourself, your teammates, and customers' property. Work outdoors in varying weather and help the crew stay on schedule. Qualifications Some prior painting, construction, or hands-on labor experience is preferred but not required. (exterior painting experience is a plus). Comfortable working on ladders and doing physical work for most of the day. Able to lift 40-50 lbs and handle tasks like scraping, sanding, and moving ladders. Reliable, on time, and willing to learn new skills (including basic power-tool, caulking, and stucco techniques). Positive attitude and able to work well with a small team in a fast-paced summer environment.

Pay:

$17.00 - $20.00 per hour
