Responsibilities Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, caulking, plastering, drywall finishing, and applying primer to ensure optimal adhesion and finish quality Execute painting tasks using various techniques such as brush painting, roller painting, spray painting (including conventional and construction spray methods), and coating applications on interior and exterior surfaces Operate hand tools, power tools, ladders, scaffolding, and paint sprayers safely and efficiently to reach high or difficult areas Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and surface preparation instructions to accurately execute projects according to specifications Conduct surface assessments using visual color comparison and technical standards to achieve consistent color matching and finish uniformity Maintain a clean work environment by properly storing tools and disposing of debris following safety protocols Follow all safety regulations including the use of respiratory protection equipment and adherence to safety protocol guidelines during all phases of construction painting Qualifications Proven experience in residential painting or related construction fields with knowledge of construction site procedures Skilled in surface preparation techniques such as drywall finishing, plastering, caulking, stucco application, masonry work, and fixture installation Familiarity with construction estimating processes and interpreting technical drawings or blueprints Ability to use hand tools, power tools, paint sprayers (including industrial spray equipment), brushes, rollers, and scaffolding safely Knowledge of coating types, color theory principles, and surface preparation for structural or renovation projects Strong understanding of safety regulations including respiratory protection measures and safe ladder use practices Basic math skills for measuring surfaces and calculating paint quantities; experience with remodeling or handyman tasks is a plus Excellent attention to detail with a focus on quality workmanship in both interior and exterior residential environments Embark on a rewarding career where your craftsmanship transforms homes into beautiful living spaces!
