February 27, 2024 Summary The Painter is responsible for preparing, priming, and painting various components and parts to meet quality standards. The role involves working with a variety of materials and surfaces, ensuring that finished products meet both aesthetic and functional requirements. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Employee must be able to perform these essential functions of the position satisfactorily and, if requested, reasonable accommodations may be made to enable employees with disabilities to perform the essential functions of the job, absent undue hardship. Prepares items for finishing operations to include cleaning, masking, and sanding as required. Paints items as required. Inspects finish to verify conformity. Ensures items are identified with work order number prior to painting or powder coating. Complies with all safety and hazardous material procedures, wears protective equipment as required to meet or exceed OSHA and company requirements. May provide training to other employees on painting and powder coating operations. Maintains all aspects of work place cleanliness and organization. Additional Responsibilities Required to maintain accurate records. May be required to drive forklift trucks. May be required to get additional training or certification. May provide assistance to other departments, as needed. May be required to participate in Small Group Improvement Activity Teams, daily Team Meetings and Team Exercise sessions. Required to identify opportunities for improvements and submit in accordance with Continuous Improvement Program. Performs all other duties as assigned. Required Education/Experience/Skills High School graduate, or equivalent. Preferred Education/Experience/Skills Additional vocational training or certification in painting is a plus. Certifications, Licensees or Registrations Required/Preferred This position does not require any special certifications, licenses, or registrations.
