In this role, you will be responsible for applying paint, coatings, and finishes to a variety of surfaces across residential, commercial, and industrial projects. Your expertise will help transform spaces, enhance their durability, and ensure a high-quality finish that meets client specifications. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects that require precision, creativity, and adherence to safety standards. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in construction painting, surface preparation, and the use of various painting tools and techniques. Responsibilities Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, caulking, plastering, drywall installation, and applying primers to ensure optimal paint adhesion. Interpret technical drawings, schematics, and color schemes to execute precise painting tasks aligned with project specifications. Apply paint using brushes, rollers, spray guns (including airless and conventional spray systems), and other hand or power tools for efficient coverage. Execute structural and renovation painting tasks on various surfaces such as stucco, masonry, concrete, drywall, and fixtures. Follow safety regulations diligently by wearing respiratory protection and adhering to safety protocols during all phases of work. Use ladders safely for elevated work while maintaining balance and stability during painting operations. Conduct surface preparation for construction spray painting and coating applications to ensure long-lasting results. Maintain a clean work environment by properly storing tools like hand tools, power tools, paint sprayers, and scaffolding equipment after use. Skills Experience with residential painting techniques including brush painting and roller application. Proficiency in commercial and industrial painting methods such as construction spray painting and coating application. Strong knowledge of color theory for accurate visual color comparison and matching. Ability to interpret technical drawings, schematics, and blueprints related to construction projects. Skilled in surface preparation including plastering, drywall finishing, caulking, stucco application, masonry work, and concrete finishing. Experience with the use of various hand tools (e.g., scrapers, putty knives), power tools (e.g., drills), and specialized equipment like paint sprayers (airless or conventional). Knowledge of safety regulations specific to construction painting environments including respiratory protection protocols. Basic math skills for measurements, calculations related to surface area coverage or material quantities. Experience working on construction sites with a focus on safety protocol adherence in diverse environments such as remodeling or maintenance projects.
