THIS OPPORTUNITY IS FOR YOU!
Experienced Painter Starting at $22 Per Hour up to $30 Per Hour +
Plus Fuel Card Position:
Employee Painter and Paint Technician Location:
Baton Rouge and surrounding communities
Type:
Full-time W-2
Starting Pay:
$22 per hour based on verified experience The Opportunity Are you the painter who notices what everyone else walks past? The clean edge, the uncovered floor, the missed nail hole, or the update the client should have received an hour ago? Swift Painting is hiring employee painters who take pride in the finish and understand that professionalism is part of the paint job. We are a locally owned residential and commercial repaint company with 10 years in business and more than 300 five-star Google reviews. Our team serves Baton Rouge, Livingston Parish, and nearby communities. Our values are Progress, Ownership, Integrity, Excellence, and Connection. Our standard is Build Don't Break. What You Will Do Prepare and protect occupied homes, businesses, floors, furniture, landscaping, fixtures, and nearby surfaces before painting begins. Complete brush, roll, spray, prep, caulking, patching, sanding, priming, and cleanup tasks that match your verified skill level. Follow the written scope and confirm the correct products, colors, sheens, and areas before applying paint. Keep a productive pace without cutting corners, maintain a clean work area, and follow jobsite safety requirements. Communicate delays, damage, scope questions, material needs, and quality concerns early to the Crew Leader or Project Manager. Complete assigned photos, notes, time records, final cleanup, self-inspection, and punch work. What We Look For Communication, integrity, attention to detail, and ownership. These are the four traits we will interview and evaluate on the job. Basic working English. You must be able to speak, read, write, and understand scopes, safety instructions, labels, messages, and jobsite communication. Reliable transportation, a presentable and client-ready appearance, and punctuality for calls, interviews, and every jobsite arrival. Initiative from the beginning. Ask when unsure, find the next useful task, accept coaching, and improve without constant supervision. Professional painting experience is preferred. We verify the skills you claim, and honesty about a skill gap matters more than pretending. Ability to perform the essential duties of painting work, indoors and outdoors, with or without reasonable accommodation. Pay and Support $22 per hour starting pay based on verified experience and ability, paid biweekly. Overtime at the required rate for eligible hours worked over 40. Up to $250 per month fuel card for approved business travel under company policy. Shared-savings bonus opportunity through a pool equal to 25 percent of verified labor savings, normally split 60 percent to the Crew Leader and 40 percent to the painter side after quality, documentation, payment, and closeout requirements are met. Paid training, uniforms, standard tools and equipment, safety supplies, and a path toward Crew Leader responsibility. Health insurance and paid time off are not currently offered. Your First Three Projects Your first three projects are a paid performance evaluation. Job 1 is Nail It. Job 2 is Repeat It. Job 3 is Prove Consistency. Strong interviews do not earn a permanent spot by themselves. Continued employment depends on punctuality, communication, quality, property protection, initiative, cleanup, and follow-through on the job. How to Apply Apply through this listing and include a short summary of your painting experience, strongest skills, current location, availability, reliable transportation, two work references, and photos of recent work if available.
