The Painter Foreman is responsible for the supervision, guidance, logistical support and limited administration to a group of Painters and Painter Masters at the Southern University and A&M College. Minimum Qualifications Two years of the required experience for the following minimum qualifications must have been on-the-job experience: Four years of experience or training in the painting trade. Job Duties and Other Information Job Duties Supervises a crew of Painters and Painter Masters, assigning work and inspecting it regularly; supervises and participates in mixing paints and matching colors; inspects surfaces before painting making sure surfaces are cleaned and ready for painting. Request quotes for requisitioning for painting supplies; monitor inventory of paint supplies; estimates job cost and amount of time to complete task along with material needed. Inspect areas requiring painting making sure of the cost and time. Monitor and maintain record of subordinate's attendance; conduct performance plannings and evaluations with subordinates as its designated time; make recommendation during hiring process; Update inventory supply list as needed making sure of the quantities available before submitting a request for a quote. Performs other related work as directed or required.
