Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic team as a Painter and bring vibrant visions to life across residential, commercial, and renovation projects! As a Painter, you will be instrumental in transforming spaces with expert craftsmanship, utilizing your knowledge of color theory, surface preparation, and finishing techniques. Whether working on new builds, restorations, or remodeling projects, your expertise will ensure every surface is painted to perfection, enhancing the aesthetic and value of each property. This is a contract 1099 position. Duties Prepare surfaces meticulously by cleaning, sanding, plastering, caulking, and applying primer to ensure optimal paint adhesion. Apply paint, stain, varnish, and other finishes using hand tools such as brushes, rollers, spray guns (including airless paint spraying), and power tools for efficient coverage. Execute residential painting projects including interior walls, ceilings, trim carpentry, fixture installation, and restoration work with precision. Perform commercial painting tasks on large-scale facilities using industrial painting techniques and scaffolding setups for high or hard-to-reach areas. Conduct surface repairs like patching holes or cracks using plastering or masonry techniques to ensure a smooth finish before painting. Maintain safety protocols on-site by using proper equipment and adhering to OSHA standards during all phases of work. Assist with maintenance tasks including fixture installation, maintenance person repairs, and general site cleanup to support overall project progress. Qualifications Proven experience in residential and commercial painting environments. Knowledge of construction estimating processes and ability to read blueprints or schematics confidently. Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools (including airless sprayers), scaffolding setup, welding equipment, and other relevant construction tools. Experience with surface preparation techniques such as sanding, caulking, plastering, stucco application, and restoration work. Background in related trades like carpentry (trim carpentry & frame carpentry), masonry, drywall installation/remodeling or maintenance person experience is highly advantageous. Construction site experience demonstrating safety awareness and ability to work efficiently within team environments. Strong attention to detail with excellent problem-solving skills to address surface imperfections or unforeseen challenges during projects.
