Job Description
Residential Painter

Summary:
The Painter is responsible for painting interior and exterior surfaces of residential homes. The Painter assists in making residential homes move-in ready and creating the best possible experience within our residential communities.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Providing painting of all interior and exterior facets of the construction scope of work.
- Masking and covering as required to protect adjacent surfaces.
- Preparing all existing drywall to receive paint.
- Ability to perform minor drywall patching/mudding/sanding to prepare for paint.
- Mixing, carrying, and applying paint to walls, ceilings, cabinetry and trim.
- Cleaning, protecting, and moving materials, tools, and equipment.
- Erecting ladders and scaffolding
- Supporting multiple residential sites within military installations.
- Coordinating with other trades.
- Maintaining a clean and safe workspace at all times.
- Maintaining routine maintenance on scope specific equipment
- Adhering to PPE requirements at all times.
- Ability to work from heights with an understanding of safety requirements for that work.
- Other responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED.
- 1+ year in the painting trade.
- Knowledge of Paints - urethanes, epoxies, and enamels along with an understanding of the hazardous materials within.
- Punchlist experience.
- Completion of OSHA 10 or 30, or ability to complete.
- Possess competent knowledge of the use and care of tools and equipment such as paint sprayers, brushes, and rollers.
