Painter - Interior Modular Construction 300 Park Street, South Paris, ME 04281 Full-time Full-time Interior Painter - Modular Home Construction Job Summary Responsible for preparing and painting interior surfaces of modular home units in a factory or production environment. This role ensures high-quality finishes on walls, ceilings, trim, and other surfaces, meeting production timelines and quality standards before transport and installation. Key Responsibilities Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, patching, and priming drywall, trim, and other materials Apply paint, stain, or coatings to walls, ceilings, doors, and trim using brushes, rollers, or sprayers Ensure consistent coverage, color accuracy, and smooth finishes Touch up and correct imperfections after initial coats Protect floors, fixtures, and installed components from paint damage Follow production schedules to meet daily or weekly output goals Maintain tools, equipment, and paint supplies in good condition Adhere to all safety procedures, including proper ventilation and PPE use Collaborate with drywall finishers, carpenters, and other team members Skills & Qualifications Experience in residential or production painting preferred Knowledge of surface preparation and finishing techniques Ability to use brushes, rollers, and spray equipment Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment Physical ability to stand, bend, lift, and perform repetitive tasks Preferred Experience Experience in modular or manufactured home construction Familiarity with factory-based or assembly-line workflows Knowledge of different paint types, finishes, and drying requirements Work Environment Indoor factory or warehouse setting, reaching, bending, stooping, twisting, kneeling or crouching Exposure to paint fumes, dust, noise and construction materials May involve working in partially completed home sections, frequent use of ladders, step stools. Standing walking 6-10 hours a day, repetitive hand and arm movements (rolling, brushing, cutting in) Outcome / Goal Deliver clean, durable, and visually consistent interior paint finishes that meet quality standards and are ready for final inspection and homeowner delivery.
