In this role, you will be responsible for transforming residential spaces through expert painting techniques, ensuring high-quality finishes that enhance the beauty and value of homes. Your expertise in various painting methods, surface preparation, and renovation projects will contribute to creating inviting, well-maintained living environments. Duties Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, caulking, and applying primer to ensure optimal paint adhesion and finish quality Apply paint, stain, varnish, and other finishes using hand tools such as brushes, rollers, spray guns (including airless paint spraying), and power tools Execute residential painting projects with precision on interior walls, ceilings, trim, doors, and exterior surfaces Read blueprints and schematics to accurately interpret project specifications and color schemes based on color theory principles Perform related renovation tasks, including plastering, stucco application, drywall repair, fixture installation, and basic carpentry, such as trim carpentry and framing Utilize construction estimating skills to assess project scope and materials needed for each job Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools and disposing of debris safely while adhering to safety protocols on construction sitesRequirements Proven experience in residential painting with knowledge of commercial and construction painting practices Familiarity with construction site procedures and safety standards Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings accurately Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, scaffolding, and industrial equipment such as welding or masonry tools (nice-to-have) Knowledge of surface preparation techniques including plastering, caulking, stucco application, and restoration work Basic math skills for measuring areas and calculating paint quantities effectively Experience with remodeling projects involving carpentry (including trim carpentry), framing, masonry or concrete finishing is preferred Strong understanding of color theory to assist clients in selecting appropriate finishes and schemes Handyman experience or general maintenance skills are considered an asset Ability to work efficiently on construction sites with a focus on quality craftsmanshipJoin us if you're passionate about transforming homes through expert craftsmanship!
