As a painter or helper, you'll contribute to high-quality finishes, ensuring client satisfaction and beautifying spaces with precision and care. Responsibilities Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, plastering, caulking, and applying primer to ensure optimal adhesion and finish quality Apply paint, stain, varnish, or other finishes using hand tools such as brushes, rollers, and spray equipment like airless paint sprayers Read blueprints and schematics to determine project scope, color schemes based on color theory principles, and specific application techniques for residential and commercial projects Use power tools and hand tools safely to perform tasks such as trimming, framing, fixture installation, drywall repair, and masonry work including stucco and concrete finishing Assist with renovation projects by performing carpentry tasks like trim carpentry, framing, demolition cleanup, and restoration work Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools and materials while adhering to safety protocols on construction sites Support senior painters with tasks such as scaffolding setup, surface preparation, and applying industrial coatings or specialty finishes Experience Prior experience in construction painting or related trades such as masonry, carpentry, or handyman work is highly desirable Familiarity with construction estimating processes and reading blueprints or schematics is a plus Hands-on experience with various hand tools, power tools, airless spray equipment, welding techniques, and maintenance tasks enhances your suitability for this role Knowledge of color theory and application techniques for residential and commercial painting projects will help deliver exceptional results Construction site experience including renovation projects, restoration work, or industrial painting provides valuable insight into project workflows Basic math skills for measuring surfaces accurately and calculating paint quantities are essential Demonstrated ability to work safely on construction sites while following all safety guidelines is required Embark on a rewarding career where your craftsmanship makes a visible difference!
