Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and motivated Painter to join our dynamic construction and renovation team. In this role, you will be responsible for applying paint, coatings, and finishes to a variety of surfaces in residential, commercial, and industrial settings. Your expertise will help transform spaces, enhance their durability, and ensure a polished, professional appearance. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects that require precision, creativity, and a strong understanding of surface preparation and finishing techniques. Responsibilities Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, scraping, and applying primer to ensure optimal paint adhesion Apply paint, stains, varnishes, and other finishes using hand tools such as brushes, rollers, sprayers (including airless paint spraying), and power tools Read blueprints and schematics to determine project specifications and color schemes based on color theory principles Perform surface repairs including plastering, caulking, masonry work, stucco application, and restoration tasks to ensure smooth finishes Execute renovation projects involving trim carpentry, fixture installation, framing, drywall finishing, and masonry work Maintain safety standards on construction sites by using appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and following safety protocols Assist with construction estimating for painting scope of work and collaborate with project managers to meet deadlines Requirements Proven experience in residential painting as well as commercial or industrial painting projects Strong knowledge of construction estimating, blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and basic math skills for measurements and calculations Hands-on experience with hand tools such as brushes, rollers, scrapers, caulking guns, and power tools including drills and sanders Familiarity with surface preparation techniques like plastering, drywall finishing, masonry work, stucco application, and concrete finishing Ability to read blueprints and schematics accurately to execute detailed painting plans Knowledge of color theory for selecting appropriate finishes that complement design schemes Experience working on construction sites with an understanding of safety procedures and protocols Additional skills such as welding, carpentry (trim framing), fixture installation or handyman experience are a plus but not mandatory Join our team if you're passionate about transforming spaces with precision craftsmanship!
