Painter

We are seeking employees to join our team at JD's Custom Painting. The postion requires prepping & painting both interior and exterior structures, buildings and other surfaces. Experience preferred, but willing to train the right candidate. Pay based on proven knowledge, skill, abilities, & performance. Must have reliable transportation & vailid drivers license. Applicant must be trustworthy and reliable & also possess great attention to detail in completing their duties. The goal is to deliver high-quality painting work to meet our custom standards. Responsibilities Read blueprints/instructions and examine surfaces to determine the kind and amount of work necessary Make on-site preparations such as building scaffolding, covering fixtures etc. Prepare walls and other surfaces for painting by cleaning, scraping, sanding, removing old paint etc. Fill cracks and holes with appropriate materials (e.g. plaster, caulking, etc.) Mix paint and other materials to prepare the right color or texture

Painting Techniques:

surface prep, brush & roll, & spray applications according to instructions with various tools Active learning, self improvement, and attention to detail Take and adhere to all health and safety precautions Skills Proven experience as a skilled Painter General knowledge of painting materials: how to select, mix and apply them Solid knowledge of Commercial and Residential construction painting techniques Aptitude in using appropriate tools (brushes, caulking guns etc.) Good basic math skills Manual dexterity with excellent pysicality to work on scaffolding, ladders, lifts etc.
