Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Construction Painter to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for applying paint, coatings, and finishes to a variety of surfaces on residential, commercial, and industrial construction sites. Your expertise will help transform spaces through precise painting techniques, ensuring high-quality results that meet project specifications. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects, from renovations to new builds, while honing your skills in a fast-paced construction environment. Duties Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, plastering, caulking, and applying primer to ensure optimal paint adhesion. Use hand tools and power tools such as brushes, rollers, spray guns (including airless paint sprayers), and sanders to apply paints, stains, varnishes, and other finishes. Read blueprints and schematics to accurately determine surface areas and project requirements. Perform residential and commercial painting tasks with attention to detail, including trim carpentry, fixture installation, and restoration work. Execute specialized techniques such as stucco application, masonry finishing, industrial painting, and concrete finishing as needed. Maintain a safe work environment by following all safety protocols related to construction site operations and the use of tools like welding equipment. Collaborate with team members on renovation projects involving framing, drywall installation, plastering, and masonry repairs. Estimate materials needed for each project using construction estimating skills and ensure proper use of resources. Assist with general maintenance tasks around the construction site or facility as a handyman when required. Qualifications Proven experience in construction painting across residential with a solid understanding of construction site procedures. Skilled in the use of hand tools and power tools specific to painting and surface preparation. Familiarity with various surface treatments including plastering, stucco application, masonry work, and restoration techniques. Experience with renovation projects involving carpentry (trim carpentry, framing), fixture installation, drywall finishing, and remodeling tasks. Basic math skills for measurements and estimating material quantities accurately. Strong understanding of safety practices related to construction painting activities including working at heights or with hazardous materials.
