This role includes preparing surfaces, selecting appropriate materials, and using various painting tools to ensure smooth, durable, and professional finishes across gaming floors, guest areas, back-of-house spaces, and exterior structures. In addition to painting duties, the Painter performs routine maintenance and repairs, including inspecting surfaces for wear and damage, patching walls, repairing cracks, and completing touch-ups to uphold the casino's appearance standards. The role requires working discreetly and efficiently to minimize disruption to guests and operations, often during off-hours. Strict adherence to safety, cleanliness, and regulatory standards is essential in this fast-paced, high-visibility environment. Responsibilities Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, scraping, or removing old paint Fill cracks, holes, and joints with appropriate materials (putty, plaster, etc.) Mix and match paints to achieve desired colors and finishes Apply paint, varnish, stain, enamel, or other finishes using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment Protect surrounding areas with drop cloths, tape, and coverings Ensure proper ventilation and safety procedures during painting tasks Inspect completed work for quality and touch up as needed Maintain tools and equipment in proper working condition Follow project specifications, blueprints, or client instructions Clean work areas after job completion Knowledgeable in all aspects of Maintenance Will assist all other trades and crafts with routine and emergency work assignments Ability to work shifts for emergencies, holidays, and weekends Knowledge of carpentry, air conditioning, electrical, plumbing, hazardous chemicals, general and preventative maintenance
