Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Painter to join our dynamic construction and renovation team. In this role, you will be responsible for applying paint, coatings, and finishes to a variety of surfaces, ensuring high-quality results that meet project specifications. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of surface preparation, color matching, and different painting techniques, all while adhering to safety protocols. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to commercial projects transforming spaces with precision and craftsmanship. Responsibilities Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, caulking, and applying primer as needed to ensure optimal adhesion and finish quality. Use hand tools, brushes, and rollers to apply coatings efficiently across various substrates. Ensure safety regulations are followed by wearing respiratory protection and other safety gear; adhere strictly to safety protocols on construction sites. Operate man lift, ladders, and other equipment safely while working at heights or in confined spaces. Maintain a clean work environment by properly storing tools and disposing of waste materials according to safety standards. Qualifications Proven experience in commercial painting. Strong knowledge of surface preparation techniques including construction site surface prep methods. Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, paint sprayers (including conventional spraying), airless paint spraying equipment, brushes, rollers, man lifts, and scaffolding. Understanding of coating types such as stucco finishes or masonry coatings; experience with restoration or renovation projects is a plus. Knowledge of safety regulations including respiratory protection use and adherence to safety protocols on construction sites. Experience with installing backer rod and caulking. $21.00 - $23.00 per hour
