This position is ideal for an experienced painter who takes pride in clean, professional work and can complete jobs efficiently with minimal supervision. The ideal candidate will have experience in interior apartment painting, drywall repair, mud work, patching nail holes, touch-ups, and preparing vacant units for turnover. Attention to detail is extremely important, as work must be completed professionally with clean lines, smooth finishes, and proper protection of floors, trim, fixtures, and surrounding areas. Responsibilities Interior painting for apartment units and residential properties Proper surface preparation including sanding, caulking, patching, and priming Repairing drywall damage, nail holes, dents, and minor wall imperfections Applying mud work and finishing repairs smoothly for paint-ready surfaces Maintaining clean work areas and preventing paint spills, splatter, or damage to floors and fixtures Completing touch-ups and punch-list items as needed Communicating professionally with property managers, tenants, and team members Managing time efficiently to complete projects within deadlines Requirements Previous professional painting experience required Experience with drywall repair and mud work Ability to produce clean, detail-oriented finishes Reliable transportation and valid driver's license required Must carry proper business liability insurance No criminal background Must provide own basic painting tools and equipment Ability to work independently and maintain professionalism on-site Dependable, punctual, and responsive for scheduled jobs Experience with apartment turnovers or maintenance painting preferred Position Details 1099 Independent Contractor Position As-needed/part-time scheduling based on project workload Pay typically ranges from $100-$300+ per day depending on experience, quality of work, and productivity Higher earnings potential available for contractors who can efficiently complete multiple units while maintaining quality standards Opportunity for ongoing work with a growing maintenance company We are looking for someone who values quality workmanship, cleanliness, reliability, and professionalism, and who can consistently deliver high-quality results on every project.
