Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Painter / Carpenter to assist our lead Maintenance Technician. The job will be mostly indoor painting with the potential for outdoor painting (estimated 60%-80% of the time will be painting), the rest of the time would be involving simple carpentry work around the properties, with the possibility for maintenance depending on your experience. In this role, you will be responsible for performing a wide range of painting and some carpentry tasks across our residential and commercial properties. Your expertise will help enhance property aesthetics, ensure structural integrity, and support renovation and restoration projects. Schedule We are looking for a part time (20-30 hours) but are open to bringing someone on full time. We have a flexible schedule in the sense that you can pick the days you are working but on those days will be expected to work from 8:00AM-4:30PM. The amount of hours per week would be established when hired but we are open to more hours as time goes on. Key Responsibilities Perform interior painting, including preparing surfaces, patching holes and imperfections, sanding, priming, and applying paint. Assist with exterior painting projects as needed. Perform simple carpentry work, repairs, and other property improvement projects. Assist the lead Maintenance Technician with general maintenance and repairs based on experience and ability. Help maintain the appearance and condition of residential and commercial properties. Prepare and protect work areas and clean up thoroughly after completing projects. Use and maintain tools, equipment, and materials safely and responsibly. Communicate with the lead Maintenance Technician regarding project progress, materials needed, and any issues encountered. Travel between properties as needed to complete assigned work. Qualifications Previous painting experience is strongly preferred. Basic carpentry experience is preferred. General maintenance or property maintenance experience is a plus, but not required. Ability to work independently while also working closely with and taking direction from a lead Maintenance Technician. Strong attention to detail and pride in producing high-quality work. Ability to safely use basic hand tools and power tools. Need a valid drivers license, working car is great but not necessary. Ability to perform physical work, including standing for extended periods, bending, lifting, climbing ladders, and completing repetitive tasks. Reliable, punctual, and motivated to learn and take on additional responsibilities.
