Responsibilities Assist with surface preparation tasks such as sanding, scraping, caulking, drywall finishing, plastering, stucco application, and masonry work to ensure optimal paint adhesion. Support the application of paint using brushes, rollers, spray guns (including airless paint spraying and conventional spray painting), and other hand or power tools. Prepare construction painting surfaces by cleaning, sanding, priming, and masking to meet project specifications. Interpret technical drawings and visual color comparisons to ensure accurate color matching and coating application. Handle fixture installation, frame carpentry, drywall repairs, and basic masonry tasks as needed during renovation or remodeling projects. Follow strict safety regulations by wearing respiratory protection, adhering to safety protocols, and maintaining a clean work environment. Assist in the setup and operation of construction spray painting equipment while ensuring proper maintenance of tools like paint sprayers and power tools. Experience Prior experience in construction site work or renovation projects is preferred but not required; on-the-job training will be provided. Familiarity with construction estimating, interpreting technical drawings, and basic math skills are advantageous for understanding project scope and measurements. Knowledge of safety regulations related to construction painting surfaces, respiratory protection, and handling hazardous materials is highly valued. Hands-on experience with hand tools, power tools, scaffolding or ladder use, and fixture installation will support your success in this role. Exposure to commercial or industrial painting projects involving coating applications on various surfaces such as drywall, stucco, masonry, or structural elements is a plus.
