In this role, you will be responsible for transforming spaces through expert painting techniques, ensuring surfaces are prepared, coated, and finished to the highest standards. Responsibilities Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, scraping, caulking, and applying primers to ensure optimal adhesion and finish quality Apply paint, coatings, stains, and finishes using a variety of methods including brush painting, roller painting, spray painting (including airless paint spraying and conventional spraying), and construction spray painting techniques Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively to complete surface preparation and finishing tasks Interpret technical drawings, specifications, and color theory concepts to achieve desired aesthetic outcomes Perform structural painting on various surfaces such as drywall, stucco, masonry, and plaster while adhering to safety regulations and protocols including respiratory protection Conduct surface inspections using visual color comparison tools to ensure consistency and quality of the finished product Assist with renovation projects by installing fixtures, framing carpentry, drywall installation, masonry work, and general handyman tasks as needed Maintain a clean work environment by properly storing tools such as paint sprayers, brushes, rollers, scaffolding (ladder use), and other equipment Qualifications Proven experience in residential painting with knowledge of construction site procedures and safety regulations Familiarity with construction estimating processes is a plus Strong understanding of color theory for effective visual matching and finishing Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, scaffolding (ladder use), paint sprayers (including airless systems), brushes, rollers, and other relevant equipment Experience with surface preparation techniques for construction painting including drywall repair, plastering, caulking, stucco application, and masonry work Knowledge of industrial painting practices is advantageous Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications accurately Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to coatings application Excellent attention to detail with a focus on safety protocol adherence at all times Join us if you're passionate about delivering high-quality craftsmanship in a collaborative environment.
