Eugene, OR Job Details Full-time $28 - $32 an hour 2 days ago Benefits Paid time off Flexible schedule Qualifications Construction painting Driver's License Crew management Sanding Caulking Full Job Description Painted Peak Paint Co. is a growing residential painting company serving Eugene, Springfield, and the surrounding Lane County area. We're looking for an experienced painter who is ready to take on a lead role and help us build a strong, efficient painting crew. This isn't just a position for someone who knows how to paint. I'm looking for someone who can eventually be trusted to help run a job, keep the crew moving, maintain our quality standards, and make good decisions without needing constant supervision. We care a lot about the finished product and don't cut corners, but quality and production both matter. You should be able to produce professional-quality work at a professional pace. What you'll be doing: Interior and exterior residential painting Airless spraying of siding, trim, doors and other finishes Brush and roll work Masking and jobsite preparation Caulking, patching, sanding and general paint prep Minor drywall repairs Planning and sequencing daily work Helping direct other painters and keeping the job moving Monitoring quality throughout the project Keeping jobsites clean and organized Communicating progress, problems and material needs Eventually taking responsibility for projects with limited owner supervision What I'm looking for: At least 5 years of professional painting experience preferred Strong airless spraying experience Excellent prep and finish skills Comfortable with both interior and exterior work Able to work efficiently without sacrificing quality Able to identify what needs to happen next without constantly being told Comfortable giving direction to another painter Dependable and shows up ready to work Good communication Valid driver's license and reliable transportation Comfortable working from ladders and at heights
Schedule:
We typically work four 10-hour shifts per week.
Pay:
$28-$32/hour DOE I'm willing to pay at the top of the range for someone who can demonstrate that they have the experience, production and leadership skills to run work independently.
Hiring process:
After an initial interview, qualified applicants may be invited to a paid working interview on one of our current projects. This gives both of us a chance to make sure it's a good fit before making a long-term commitment. We're a small company with room to grow. For the right person, I'd like this position to develop into someone who can take ownership of projects and eventually run a Painted Peak crew.
Pay:
$28.00 - $32.00 per hour
