Job Overview We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Painter to join our maintenance team. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in construction and residential painting, with a strong focus on safety, surface preparation, and finishing techniques. As a Painter, you will be responsible for maintaining the aesthetic appeal and structural integrity of our facility through expert painting and surface treatment. Duties Prepare surfaces thoroughly using hand tools, power tools, and surface preparation techniques specific to construction painting standards. Apply paint, coatings, and finishes using brushes, rollers, spray guns (including airless spray), and conventional spray equipment to achieve high-quality results. Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and color schemes to ensure accurate application of paint in accordance with project specifications. Perform structural painting tasks on walls, ceilings, stucco, drywall, masonry, and other surfaces requiring renovation or restoration work. Conduct surface repairs such as plastering, caulking, drywall installation, and masonry work to ensure optimal painting conditions. Follow safety regulations rigorously by utilizing respiratory protection, adhering to safety protocols on construction sites, and maintaining a safe working environment. Assist with fixture installation and minor handyman tasks as needed to support renovation projects across the facility. Skills Extensive experience in construction estimating and blueprint reading related to painting projects. Proficiency in residential, commercial, industrial, and renovation painting techniques including brush painting, roller painting, drywall finishing, and coating application. Knowledge of color theory for accurate visual color comparison and matching. Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, paint sprayers (including airless), and other relevant equipment efficiently. Strong understanding of safety regulations specific to construction site environments including respiratory protection protocols. Experience with surface preparation for construction spray painting and coating applications. Basic math skills for measuring areas and calculating paint quantities accurately. Familiarity with fixture installation, remodeling processes, maintenance tasks, plastering, stucco application, masonry work, framing carpentry, drywall repair, caulking techniques, and restoration projects.
