Full Job Description Job Description Expectations:
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Painter to join our coatings team. The Painter will be responsible for applying a variety of linings and coatings to steel pipe. This role involves operating painting equipment, maintaining a safe work environment, and ensuring that all coatings meet the Victaulic's quality standards. The ideal candidate will have experience in steel coatings, a strong understanding of safety protocols, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Physical stamina and attention to detail are essential, as is a commitment to maintaining high-quality workmanship.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
: Prepare and apply lining and coatings to steel pipe Surface clean steel pipe Apply protective coverings to areas of the pipe that should not be painted, such as threaded ends or areas requiring special protection. Operate painting machines, compressors, and other related equipment, adjusting settings to match the pipe's material and the desired finish. Follow all safety protocols, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and ensuring the work area is secure from hazards such as flying debris or inhalation of dust particles. Perform routine maintenance on coatings equipment, including cleaning, lubricating, and replacing worn parts to ensure efficient operation. Set up and prepare the paint area, including arranging pipes, setting up scaffolding or supports, and securing the area for safe operation. Maintain accurate records of work completed, including logging the types of pipes blasted, duration of work, and any issues encountered during the process. Any other tasks, as assigned. processes
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent Good communication skills both verbal and written. Bilingual is a plus Computer literate Attention to detail and committed to quality Physical ability to lift heavy materials and stand for extended periods
Schedule:
Full Time:
Monday-Thursday 6am-4:30pm and occasionally
Fridays Pay:
