Responsibilities Prepare surfaces thoroughly by cleaning, sanding, caulking, drywall repair, plastering, and applying primer to ensure optimal paint adhesion. Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications to determine appropriate painting techniques and materials for each project. Apply paints, stains, coatings, and finishes using hand tools such as brushes and rollers or power tools like paint sprayers and conventional spray equipment. Perform structural painting tasks on walls, ceilings, trim carpentry, stucco, fixtures, and other surfaces with precision and care. Use ladder access safely while executing residential painting or commercial projects at various heights. Maintain safety regulations by wearing respiratory protection and adhering to safety protocols during all phases of work. Conduct surface testing for color matching using visual color comparison techniques to ensure consistency across different areas. Assist with renovation projects by handling drywall installation, caulking, plastering, fixture installation, remodeling tasks, and general handyman duties as needed. Manage construction site experience efficiently by interpreting technical drawings or blueprints for accurate project execution. Maintain a clean work environment by properly storing tools such as hand tools, power tools, paint sprayers, and equipment used in construction spray painting. Qualifications Proven experience in construction painting surface preparation, residential painting, commercial painting, or related fields. Knowledge of construction estimating processes is a plus for understanding project scope and material needs. Familiarity with color theory principles for achieving desired visual effects. Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, paint sprayers (including conventional spraying), and scaffolding safely. Strong understanding of safety regulations including respiratory protection protocols and general safety procedures on construction sites. Skilled in interpreting technical drawings or blueprints for accurate application of paint or coatings. Experience with drywall installation/repair, caulking, stucco application, fixture installation, plastering or renovation projects is advantageous. Basic math skills for measuring surfaces accurately and calculating material quantities. Excellent attention to detail with a focus on quality craftsmanship in all finishing work. Valid experience in construction site environments with the ability to adapt quickly to changing project requirements.
