Job Description

Position Summary The Painter is responsible for preparing, painting, and finishing interior and exterior surfaces throughout company facilities. This position ensures that buildings, apartments, common areas, and other structures are well maintained, visually appealing, and protected from damage. The Painter works closely with maintenance staff to complete renovation projects, repairs, and routine upkeep. Key Responsibilities Prepare surfaces for painting by scraping, sanding, patching, and priming walls, ceilings, trim, and other structures. Apply paint, stain, varnish, and other finishes using brushes, rollers, and spray equipment. Perform interior and exterior painting for apartments, offices, hallways, and common areas. Repair drywall damage including patching holes, cracks, and other imperfections prior to painting. Match paint colors and finishes to existing surfaces when performing repairs or touch-ups. Maintain painting equipment and tools in good working condition. Follow safety procedures when using ladders, scaffolding, and chemicals. Protect furniture, floors, and fixtures by covering with drop cloths or plastic before painting. Maintain a clean and organized work environment. Assist the maintenance department with minor repairs and facility projects when needed. Ensure work is completed efficiently with minimal disruption to residents and staff Qualifications High school diploma or GED preferred. 2+ years of professional painting experience preferred. Experience with drywall repair and surface preparation. Knowledge of painting techniques, materials, and safety procedures. Ability to operate painting tools and equipment safely. Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship. Ability to work independently and complete projects on schedule. Physical Requirements Ability to stand, bend, kneel, and climb ladders for extended periods. Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds . Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying conditions.
