As a Painter, you will play a vital role in transforming spaces by applying paint, coatings, and finishes with precision and care. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects, from residential homes to commercial buildings, utilizing your skills to enhance and restore environments. Duties Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, filling cracks, and applying primers to ensure optimal paint adhesion. Apply paints, stains, varnishes, and other finishes using hand tools such as brushes, rollers, spray guns (including airless paint spraying), and power tools. Read blueprints, schematics, and detailed project plans to determine the scope of work and select appropriate materials. Perform surface preparation tasks including plastering, caulking, stucco application, masonry work, and drywall finishing to create smooth bases for painting. Execute renovation and restoration projects by working on framing, trim carpentry, fixture installation, and general maintenance tasks. Use construction estimating skills to assess project requirements accurately and manage time effectively on-site. Maintain safety standards by adhering to construction site protocols and operating equipment such as welding tools or scaffolding safely. Qualifications Proven experience in residential painting, commercial painting, or construction painting with a strong understanding of surface preparation techniques. Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, scaffolding, and airless paint spraying equipment. Knowledge of color theory to select appropriate finishes that meet client specifications. Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and schematics for precise project execution. Basic math skills for measuring surfaces and calculating paint quantities accurately. Experience with plastering, caulking, stucco application, masonry work, framing carpentry, trim carpentry or renovation projects is highly desirable. Construction site experience including safety awareness and ability to work at heights or in confined spaces.
