As our company continues to grow, we are looking for an experienced Painter / Crew Lead who can help guide small crews, keep projects moving efficiently, and maintain the high standards our clients expect. Job Description We are hiring a motivated and experienced Painter / Crew Lead to join our team full-time. This position is ideal for someone with strong painting experience who is comfortable taking the lead on job sites, helping organize daily tasks, and supporting a crew of painters while still working hands-on. The right candidate should take pride in their craft, communicate well, and lead by example. This role requires someone who can balance quality, efficiency, teamwork, and professionalism on residential and commercial painting projects. Responsibilities Lead a small crew of painters on residential and commercial job sites Help plan daily tasks, workflow, and job-site priorities Assist with setup, protection, preparation, painting, and cleanup Prepare surfaces by sanding, scraping, patching, cleaning, caulking, and taping as needed Apply primer, paint, stain, and finish coatings to interior and exterior surfaces Monitor work quality throughout the project Help keep projects organized, clean, and moving on schedule Communicate professionally with clients, team members, and supervisors Make sure company standards and safety procedures are followed Set a positive example through reliability, workmanship, and attitude What We're Looking For Dependable and punctual, with the ability to lead by example Strong attention to detail and pride in high-quality work Good communication skills with clients and coworkers Comfortable guiding and supporting a small team Able to stay organized and focused on job-site priorities Positive attitude and strong work ethic Comfortable with physical work, including lifting, standing, bending, and working on ladders Qualifications Prior painting experience required Crew lead, foreman, or supervisory experience preferred Knowledge of painting tools, materials, preparation methods, and best practices Ability to complete interior and exterior painting work safely and professionally Valid driver's license required Reliable personal transportation required What We Offer Competitive pay starting at $30.00 per hour, based on experience Full-time position Bonus structure and profit-sharing opportunities Growth opportunities within the company Supportive and professional team environment A variety of residential and commercial projects throughout Northern Vermont At ProEdge Painting Company, we are looking for someone who can produce quality work while helping others do the same.
