In this role, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality painting services across residential, commercial, and industrial projects. Your expertise will help transform spaces through precise surface preparation, expert application of coatings, and attention to detail that ensures long-lasting finishes. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects, develop your craft, and contribute to beautiful, functional environments. Responsibilities Prepare surfaces thoroughly by cleaning, sanding, caulking, plastering, and applying primer to ensure optimal adhesion of paint and coatings. Apply paint using various techniques including brush painting, roller painting, spray painting (including airless and conventional spray systems), and construction spray painting methods. Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and surface specifications to accurately execute projects according to design intent. Use hand tools, power tools, ladders, scaffolding, and other equipment safely and effectively to reach high or difficult areas. Perform structural painting tasks such as stucco application, masonry finishing, and restoration work on existing surfaces. Conduct surface testing for color matching using visual color comparison techniques and ensure color consistency across projects with knowledge of color theory. Follow safety regulations rigorously by wearing appropriate respiratory protection and adhering to all safety protocols on construction sites. Assist with renovation projects by installing fixtures, trim carpentry, caulking joints, and performing general handyman tasks as needed. Maintain a clean work environment by properly storing tools and disposing of waste materials in accordance with safety standards. Skills Extensive experience in construction painting including surface preparation, coating application, and finishing techniques. Proficiency with various application methods such as brush painting, roller painting, airless paint spraying, and conventional spray systems. Strong understanding of construction estimating principles for project planning and material usage. Ability to read blueprints and interpret technical drawings accurately for precise project execution. Knowledge of color theory for effective color matching and visual consistency across surfaces. Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, ladders, scaffolding, and other equipment safely on construction sites. Familiarity with residential painting practices as well as commercial and industrial painting environments. Experience with surface preparation including plastering, caulking, masonry work, stucco application, and renovation projects. Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to coating coverage and material quantities. Understanding of safety regulations specific to construction painting environments including respiratory protection protocols. Ability to perform fixture installation, drywall finishing, concrete finishing, masonry repairs, remodeling tasks, maintenance work, and restoration projects when required.
