Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Construction Painter to join our team and bring vibrant, high-quality finishes to a variety of building projects. In this role, you will be responsible for applying paint, coatings, and finishes to residential, commercial, and industrial structures, ensuring durability and aesthetic appeal. Your expertise will help transform spaces through skilled craftsmanship, precise surface preparation, and innovative techniques. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse renovation and new construction projects while honing your skills in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, plastering, caulking, and repairing walls, ceilings, and other structures to ensure optimal paint adhesion. Apply paints, stains, varnishes, and specialty coatings using hand tools such as brushes, rollers, sprayers (including airless paint spraying), and power tools. Read blueprints and schematics to determine project scope, color schemes based on color theory principles, and specific application requirements for residential and commercial projects. Execute detailed trim carpentry, stucco application, masonry finishing, drywall installation (including fixture installation), and restoration work as needed. Utilize construction estimating skills to assess project materials and time requirements accurately. Maintain safety standards on construction sites by using proper personal protective equipment (PPE) and adhering to OSHA regulations. Collaborate with other trades such as carpenters, masons, welders, and handyman teams to ensure seamless project execution. Experience Proven experience in construction painting across residential, commercial, or industrial settings with a strong understanding of construction site protocols. Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, scaffolding setups, and specialized equipment like airless sprayers. Knowledge of blueprint reading and schematics for precise project planning and execution. Familiarity with surface preparation techniques including plastering, caulking, sanding, and masonry work. Background in renovation projects involving remodeling or restoration work is highly desirable. Basic math skills for measurements and estimating material needs are essential. Experience with related trades such as carpentry (trim framing), masonry (stucco/masonry finishes), or maintenance tasks will be advantageous. $20.00 - $24.00 per hour
