Job Description

The L. B. White Company is a leading manufacturer of heating equipment for the agricultural and construction industries. We are growing and we need a reliable, hardworking employee for an immediate 1st shift opening in our Machine Shop for a Painter !
EXCELLENT OPPORTUNITY TO TRAIN IN THE PAINT BOOTH!
All equipment and materials for use are provided. Respirator use requires employee to be clean shaven.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS 1.
Prepares/cleans parts for painting 2. Maintains and keeps equipment and work area in a safe, clean condition and in good working order. 3. Able to set up and run wet paint spraying process. Use of a respirator is required when spraying. 4. Able to quickly adapt to running different parts based on a rapidly changing production schedule. 5. Thins paints to proper consistency and viscosity for spraying application and adjusts equipment to obtain finish requirements and economy. 6. Applies prepared paints to products to acceptable finish and maintains accurate count/status of work performed. 7. Properly disposes of hazardous waste materials. 8. Follow good housekeeping requirements. 9. Follow OSHA requirements. 10. Miscellaneous responsibilities as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS 1.
Knowledge of painting equipment and practices and ability to use as required. 2. Ability to lift units as required, up to 50lbs. 3. Ability to use floor jacks and parts fixtures 4. Knowledge and proper use of safety equipment including masks, gloves, aprons and respirators. 5. Basic mathematical skills. 6. Knowledge of proper hazardous waste disposal methods.
ACCOUNTABILITY
Responsible for the efficient and accurate completion of all assigned functions; meeting all production, quality, safety and company standards. We are looking for enthusiastic individuals who want to learn, can accomplish tasks at a fast pace, and are ready to work. Our positions will require the individual to be able to do repetitive tasks daily as well as lift between 30 and 50 pounds occasionally. Interested individuals should have basic mathematical skills and be able to stand/walk for extended periods of time as needed.
