Fire Sprinkler Fitter Position As a Fire Sprinkler Fitter for AFPG, and a valued member of the UA Local Union, you will play a critical role in installing, repairing, and maintaining fire sprinkler systems in diverse types of buildings, ensuring they meet all safety codes and standards. You will work alongside a skilled team, utilizing your expertise to assess blueprints, select appropriate materials, and provide high-quality craftsmanship to protect lives and property from fire damage. This position requires a detail-oriented individual with excellent problem-solving skills and a commitment to upholding the highest standards of workmanship and safety as outlined by the union and our company. Job Responsibilities Install, repair, and maintain all types of fixed extinguishing systems, including underground piping. Responsible for installing and servicing other fire protection equipment such as standpipes, carbon dioxide systems, halon systems, foam systems, and dry chemical systems. Travel to work on various locations/job sites as necessary. Comply with union collective bargaining agreement. Job Qualifications Willing to become a member of the UA Local Union. A minimum of 1 year of Foreman experience is required. Must be at least 18 years old. High school diploma or GED required. Possess a valid driver's license with a clean driving record; in accordance with Company policy. Willing and able to travel 30% - 50% of the time Willing and able to lift up to at least 50 pounds. Willing to climb ladders. Strong mechanical background is preferred. Ability to work in a fast-paced construction environment, with or without reasonable accommodation.
