SUMMARY OF JOB PURPOSE

Under ongoing supervision, measures, aligns cuts, fits elbows and welds, cleans and grinds fabricated products. May assist in coordinating activities of welders and fabricators for special welding techniques and/or procedures.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

Lays out, positions, aligns, and fits components together according plans and specifications Performs cleaning and grinding as required. Grinds welds and end finish. Cuts products with torch and other tools. Tacks product according to plans and specifications Completes proper documentation. Moves pipe with overhead crane. Reading Tape measuring Reading Blueprint Other duties maybe assigned.

SECONDARY RESPONSIBILITIES

Assists in the departmental housekeeping and safety efforts and works collaboratively with other members of the department and production counterparts to ensure production workflow

WORK HOURS / SHIFT

Work hours vary or change from eight to twelve hours shifts based on operational needs. Must be able to work on Saturdays and overtime as required.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
