Responsibilities Install commercial fire sprinkler systems according to approved plans. Install and modify branch lines, mains, drops, risers, and sprinkler heads. Measure, cut, thread, groove, and install steel sprinkler pipe. Install hangers, seismic bracing, valves, and related fire sprinkler components. Perform tenant improvement (TI), remodel, and new construction work. Assist with rough inspections, hydrostatic testing, flushing, and final inspections. Read and understand fire sprinkler plans and field layouts. Coordinate installation with other trades on the jobsite. Maintain a clean and safe work area. Requirements Minimum 2 years of fire sprinkler installation experience preferred. Commercial fire sprinkler experience strongly preferred. Must know how to work with Schedule 10 and Schedule 40 steel pipe. Experience using threading and grooving machines, including RIDGID equipment. Ability to read fire sprinkler drawings is strongly preferred. Must have reliable transportation. Must be dependable, punctual, and able to work independently. Ability to lift pipe, fittings, equipment, and materials associated with sprinkler installation. Must follow OSHA and jobsite safety requirements. Preferred Qualifications California Fire Sprinkler Fitter Certification/Card. Experience with commercial TI projects, retail stores, and new construction. Experience with hydrostatic testing and fire sprinkler inspections. Experience operating scissor lifts and boom lifts. Work Projects are located throughout Southern California and may occasionally require travel to other areas of California. Full-time position.
